Privacy Policy

Listing Ops (“we”, “us”) provides eBay research and listing tools. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you control it.
1. Data we collect
Account data (email, password hash), the product keywords and images you submit for analysis, and — only after you authorize it — eBay account data accessed through the eBay API (listings, orders, messages) so the features you enable can function.
2. How we use it
To operate the service, generate titles and market analysis, sync your eBay data, and send account-related notifications. We do not sell personal data.
3. eBay API data
Data obtained via the eBay API is used only to provide the features you request, is stored only as long as needed for those features, and is handled in accordance with the eBay API License Agreement. You can disconnect your eBay account at any time from Settings, after which we stop accessing it.
4. eBay marketplace account deletion notifications
Listing Ops is registered to receive eBay’s Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure Notifications. When eBay notifies us that an eBay user has deleted or closed their eBay account, we delete or anonymize any data we hold that was obtained via the eBay API for that eBay account within 30 days, in accordance with eBay API requirements — whether or not that person is an active Listing Ops subscriber.
5. Third-party processors
We use Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the US), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI title, description, and market-insight generation), and the eBay Browse API (live listing data) as processors. Product text and images you submit may be sent to OpenAI to generate output; per OpenAI’s API data usage policy, this data is not used to train their models.
6. Retention & deletion
You can delete your account from Settings. We delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. See also Section 4 for eBay-initiated deletions.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. API credentials are stored server-side only and never exposed to the browser.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@listingops.app.
